Red Hand Records officially launched in 2011 after three years of research and data collection on the present and future state of the record label industry. The label is based in the Highland Square Arts District of Akron, OH, a city with a rich history of musical talents including Devo, Chrissie Hynde of The Pretenders, and The Black Keys.

Red Hand Records is, and always will be an artist-centered record label that provides the necessary support for musicians that are ready to make the leap from part-time to full-time. Using a strong network of third-party resources, Red Hand Records customizes their promotions, marketing plans, and touring schedules around what the artist wants to accomplish without the crippling overhead that most record labels are plagued by.
